Erasmus “Deaf” Smith and Emily West are two famous Texas heroes profiled in this storybook, presented in poetic format. Discover their roles in a series of Texas Revolution historical events that occurred between 1835 and 1836, brought to life in American Sign Language, Lengua de Señas Mexicana, and English.
This storybook includes a lesson plan for teachers and students, who will learn more about the different battles between the Tejan and Mexican armies that led to Texas becoming an independent republic.
